More Wonderful Family in Port St. Lucie, Florida!

The State of Florida is really l o n g and really f l a t!  I-95 is a very efficient way to drive south, missing the large metro areas.  The farther south you travel, the more expansive orange groves there are on both sides of the interstate.

It was quite a change to travel from the oldest city in the country, St. Augustine, to a city less than 60 years old, Port St. Lucie. The little we saw of the city today was 100% clean and modern.

How joyous to visit with my baby brother, Don and sister-in-law, Kathleen!  They moved to Port St. Lucie from Ireland last fall to be near their children who live close by.  I hadn't seen them since my last trip to Ireland 2 years ago.

From left: Don, Kathleen, Jan, Peggy: a fine Italian dinner.

We chatted non-stop to catch up with the news, went to dinner, then chatted more.  Since our parents and brother, Steve, are deceased, it is good to keep in touch regularly and visit as much as possible.  I brought my 2012 photo album and hope to see my niece and nephew on this trip.
